Mary AOD
The other day I participated in a discussion in the computer Lab with some class mates about religion and God. It was a group discussion on matters that concerned each person there (public Dialogue) and caused me to practice a lot of the Arts of Democracy. One aspect of the discussion was that it was less of a argumentative debate on where no one listened to anyone but each of us had to actively listen to each other and I particularly had to work on not butting in on other peoples expressed thoughts. At one point Ben Fader had to mediate between me and carolyn as we discussed a subject. Ben Fader is a good example of diversity since me and him both don't necessarily come from the same background church wise yet he always has something to input in a way that I wouldn't think of and its always really good. It was a wonderful conversation.
